Some people might laugh at these photos of porn star Scarlett Fay promoting her Lindsay Lohan video for Hustler, but let’s be frank for a minute. This chick is doing way better than Lindsay. I mean, just think about it: She’s employed, not sentenced to rehab and stars in a movie that actually got made instead of being nothing but promo shots in a seedy hotel room. If it was up to me, I’d hire her to be Lindsay’s life-coach/personal Jesus and years from now she’d thank me for it. Preferably in the form of a free copy of “Freckles Fellatio: Space Attorney.”

I am a big fan of the Eye-Fi card, and have had my 2GB SD version (i.e. photos, no video) for two and a half years. However, I rarely if ever used the old Eye-Fi Manager software, and over the last few months I’ve been without Eye-Fi wireless transfers altogether thanks to a PC migration, and general laziness on my part. Then last week I got a notice from the company that they’re discontinuing the old Eye-Fi Manager, and replacing it with new Eye-Fi Center software. The shift finally prompted me to set up Eye-Fi on the new computer and give the updated management portal a try.
The Eye-Fi Center has a clean, simple interface showing thumbnails of recently uploaded photos at the top, a list of connected devices along with a calendar to the left, a photo tray for sharing pics at the bottom, and a big preview screen taking up most of the display. There’s also a settings menu available with tabs for network selection, photo storage options, notifications, geotagging, and photo transfer preferences.
Stuff I Like:
The online photo sharing options are fabulous, particularly with the Selective Share feature, and easy to use with the Eye-Fi Center. The software supports a huge range of photo services including the basics like Facebook and Flickr, but also store-based services like Costco and Ritzpix, and blogging services like Movable Type and TypePad. (No WordPress, oddly) I was able to upload a test photo to my Snapfish account in seconds flat, and if I want, I can make Snapfish uploads automatic whenever I wirelessly sync my Eye-Fi card.
I also like the preview pane in the Eye-Fi Center, and the ability open a larger view of any photo in a floating window. More importantly, I like the fact that the Eye-Fi Center doesn’t disguise where my photos are actually stored the way the old Flip Video software used to. I can use the Center interface to view photos if I want to, but it’s not required.
Quibbles:
There are a few annoying bits about the new software. For example, the settings window isn’t optimized for my small-screen netbook, making it difficult to access the Save and Cancel buttons at the bottom of the display. But I discovered it is possible to drag the pop-up menu up just high enough to click on those buttons when needed. I also don’t like that there’s no status bar when I’m uploading photos from my Eye-Fi card. It might be less irritating if the card uploaded pics in chronological order, but it doesn’t. So I can see pics coming in, but have no idea how many are left to upload at any given time.
Dave found the interface a bit sluggish on OS X. It moved pretty quickly for me on Windows once all the uploads were complete, but there was lag time during photo transfer.
Bottom Line:
The Eye-Fi Center has potential. The sharing function is easily its best feature today, but you can see how new capabilities might be added in the future. (In fact, there’s a beta mobile version of the Center available, which I’m planning to check out next.) I also give Eye-Fi high marks for not locking users in with its management software. I plan to continue using the Center going forward, but if it’s not your cup of tea, feel free to stick with files-and-folders management, or anything else. Eye-Fi lets you choose.

Nay, a rider on the train, spotted the man and posted his photo as the train was between MGH/Charles and Park Street:
#mbta pervert on the 2nd car of the red line going to Braintree just passed Charles help me report him in hat
After another Twitter user urged him to contact MBTA police, he added:

Innocent, etc.
Plustek Technology Inc. has released its latest imaging product on Thursday, the SmartPhoto P60. It converts old photographs into digital files for use as a backup, for sharing online of for use in digital photo frames. The size of the scanner is enough to make typical four-by-six inch prints.
The scanner can capture a photo in as quickly as 18 seconds, and requires no software for converting or scanning photos. The scanner ships with a protector sheet for feeding through older, damaged or crumbling photos. It plugs into computers using a USB port, which powers it as well. The P60 can scan photos at 100DPI, 300DPI or 600DPI.
The SmartPhoto P60 is now shipping for $99.

Well, i fear that goes not only for photography Chase. I work in the webgame/flash development and here it is often also about “the new technology “XYZ” we MUST use now because it is “fancy argument here” And people (who work in the same area) often discuss if a button has the right animation. And not if the game is fun. Well, in germany that is, i know it is somewhat better in other countrys.
It may be a side effect of the internet era and the possibility to instantly see what others do, compare yourself, envy, love, share. And yes, you are right. It is because people want answers, real ones. That is why philosophers lived in a barrel long ago. Nobody wants to talk for ages about feelings And, sadly, many people have not the … let me say ego cause i lack the right english words atm … to say “i love his/her stuff” without saying “and here look at mine, i am great too” People hunt a pat on the back, even more when on the internet.
But there may be other approaches. I a.e. buy gear because i also love gear. Hiking stuff, camera stuff, tech gadgets, whatever. I ordered myself a 5d recently. And hell, i really do not need it. I am a graphic artist, i make zero money with photography. But i want to have one to bring my stuff to a next level, just for myself. Just to play around with it. And yes, i could discuss tech stuff on the itnernet – but what for?
I may have good gear. But still, pick a random 5 of real photographers, give them a point and shoot or an iphone and they still will make stuff that will amaze me, make me stop right in my tracks and look at it.
That is what pictures should do. And gear can only stop geeks like me to look at. Pictures can stop anybody. Touch anybody.
I would love to see more people just doing things. And more people stop making “the sharpness in the corners is not optimal at 300%” comments.
So, for the love of photography and art, i will now go out on my lunch break and take a look at the world. I wish you a good time Chase, keep up the great work. It is inspirational to see what you and Zack and others are doing.
Lots of love from germany
Niels

Amazing photographic images are like superheroes!
They travel around the world at the speed of light, work day and night, and leap at the chance to promote your art or craft. They are the most powerful tools for visibility and credibility that an artist has in their studio, but they must be high quality, amazing images. I have written about using your images effectively many times on my blog ASK Harriete, there is another important aspect to discuss.
Your photography costs (e.g. your payments to your professional photographer) are an advertising expense and part of your business overhead. This is an important issue when looking at your financial picture for the year. As an overhead expense, advertising can be deducted in the year that the expense occurred.
Many times I‘ve heard artists speak about adding the cost of photography to the price of the work that is being photographed. Big mistake! Adding the photography to the “cost of goods sold,” would mean that you technically can not deduct the expense until the work is sold. This thinking also limits how you perceive the use of the photographic images. A photographic image may be of one specific artwork, but it is representative of your entire body of work and your reputation within your field.
One fabulous image can be used for postcards and featured in show announcements, social networking sites, books, magazines and other people’s blogs. The quality of your photography represents your professional aspirations. It literally (and visually) demonstrates to everyone that you take your medium seriously and professionally.
Photography is an advertising expense. Great photographic images are worth every penny. If you can’t afford professional photography for everything you make, my professional recommendation is to have at least one new piece photographed for each series – or, at least one new piece a year. Use that image everywhere you can imagine. Paying for great photography is a much better investment than paying for advertising.
Yes, I said that photography is an advertising expense, but I want to clarify that I don’t pay to run ads in magazines or online. Instead, I try to gain more exposure with my photos through submissions to juried shows, books, magazines, social networking and my own web site. Great photos can create free opportunities when selected for a show announcement, publicity image, or featured in an article. An amazing photographic image is like a superhero continuously and tirelessly promoting your art or craft.

Press Release:
The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) is re-launching their annual photography competition with a new website, new categories and new prizes today.
After three years of successfully building the profile and audience of the competition, WWT is hoping to encourage more visitors to take up photography by offering a day with their Vice President and well known photographer and TV presenter Chris Packham, along with prizes including four nights holiday to New York State with Continental Airlines to go birding along the Great Lakes Seaway trail, a wildlife photography workshop in Europe courtesy of Tatra Photograpy, an activity week holiday to North Devon, great outdoor gear from Regatta, a variety of experiences from Smartbox and delicious goodies from Jordans Cereals.
WWT is also offering tips on how to take prize winning photographs to all visitors to its nine wetland centres and on the new wwt.org.uk/photo website. WWT’s Chief Executive Martin Spray said:
"WWT’s wetland centres have an enviable reputation among budding wildlife photographers because you really can get nose-to-beak with a lot of the birds. We want more of our visitors to enjoy the buzz of taking a great photo so we’ve worked with Chris Packham to develop some top tips for beginners and enthusiasts alike. We’ve got a new website wwt.org.uk/photo so you can share the results with your friends. And we’ve got some exciting new categories with some fantastic prizes."
As in previous years the first round of judging will take place at each of WWT’s nine wetland centres. The chosen entrants will be invited to a winners’ day with Chris Packham at WWT London Wetland Centre, where the national winners will be announced. Everyone will get personal feedback from the judging panel and the chance to put into practice what they have learned in the surroundings of one of the best urban wildlife sites in the world.
The new website wwt.org.uk/photo greatly enhances the competition. Entrants can post their images online at the website and share them with friends via email and social networking sites. Visitors can also vote for their favourite images and People’s Choice Awards will be given for the photos which receive the most votes.
Martin Spray continues:
"Photography is such a rewarding way to interact with wildlife. And now that cameras on phones are so commonplace, we really want to give everyone the skills to compose and capture great shots. We’re running this competition in memory of Lady Scott, who was an integral part of WWT and an accomplished photographer and sadly passed away earlier this year. I think she would sincerely approve of this because education and recreation have always been integral to conservation and research throughout WWT’s history."

Based on one key sequence in both the graphic novels and the movie adaptation, “Watchmen” still photographer Clay Enos has created “Nite Owl Dark Roast,” a specialty coffee and one of the more interesting movie tie-ins to come along in a long time.
Nite Owl Serves Coffee aboard Archie the Owl Ship
Set within a universe where Richard Nixon was elected President of the United States multiple times, the “Watchmen” takes place in 1985. Eight years earlier, the government cracked down on all costumed vigilantes, leaving only a few active crime fighters on the scene.
After years of inactivity, Nite Owl puts on his costume and, with the help of the beautiful Silk Spectre, rescues several people from a burning tenement. While they are flying away in Archimedes, Nite Owl's flying ship, the Silk Spectre uses a built-in coffee maker to make a hot beverage for everyone.
Clay Enos Brings a Little “Watchmen” Reality to the Real World
Enos said that Nite Owl Dark Roast is a 100% fair trade, organic coffee that was grown in Peru. “A movie coffee tie-in or any tie-in is problematic with 'Watchmen,' but it's a specialty coffee and a name like 'Nite Owl' is just dying to become a coffee. Coffee is one of these things that is easily adapted,” he said.
In another nod to the Watchmen Universe, Nite Owl Dark Roast is produced by Veidt Enterprises, the fictional company created by Adrian Veidt, a businessman who was the hero called Ozymandias. “Everything in 'Watchmen' has a meaning and I just made it real. This is the coffee served in 'Archie.' It only seems right that Veidt Enterprises would be behind it and it would be named for Nite Owl,” Enos said.
“In reality, it's really high-quality coffee. I want people to open the can, save the can, drink the coffee. On one side, it looks like it came straight out of the Watchmen 1985 Veidt Enterprises Universe and if you spin it around, there's my portrait of Nite Owl and a little back-story,” he said. “The label says it is 'Subversively Good', just like the 'Watchmen' vigilantes.”
Nite Owl Dark Roast is a Collectible that's Consumable
Because most of the profits from the sale of Nite Owl Dark Roast are going to charity, Enos said that DC Comics and Warner Brothers were kind enough to let him do this coffee. “They know that the majority of the profits go to charity, so we're just having a little fun with it. And everything in the Watchmen Universe, if it has a consumer end to it, has Veidt behind it.”
“This idea was born a long time ago to play in the Watchmen Universe. It is really with good intentions that's fun for fans. It's a collectible that's consumable. It's a coffee can; it's the classic container where you can put all your favorite stuff,” he said.
Stunning Black-and-White Photos of the Unsung “Watchmen” Heroes
In addition to the Nite Owl Dark Roast Coffee, Enos also collected 220 black-and-white portraits of both the superheroes and the unsung heroes in “Watchmen Portraits,” a coffee-table book. Characters such as Rorschach's mother and some aggressive prostitutes are captured in the book. “It's like a meditation on the faces of 'Watchmen,' like visiting a place through a face.”
Still photographs also play an important role in the “Watchmen” story. Enos shot all the key still photographs, including the 1939 group shot of “The Minutemen” and a photo of Janey Slater and Jon Osterman, the scientist who becomes the super-powered Dr. Manhattan.
“It's fun to be the only still photographer of 'Watchmen.' On a movie, we are almost the invisible folks. It's fun to know that a still photograph can play such a role in peoples' imaginations, especially in a world where moving pictures dominate. The still image has resonance and power,” Enos said. “I think there's something magical in black-and-white; it distills it down to its essence. It gives it a dreamlike quality, but at the same time, it's coated with authenticity.”
“Night Owl Dark Roast” can be ordered through the Organic Coffee Cartel website at www.organiccoffee .com.
“Watchmen Portraits” can be purchased through Amazon.com.
“The Watchmen,” rated R for strong graphic violence, sexuality, nudity and language, opens nationwide on Friday, March 6.
There have forever been rumors of the next Apple iPod touch having a camera—and a good one at that! In my recent review of the Apple iPhone 4′s camera, it was concluded that for a cameraphone, the performance was really quite good. Further, the high ISO abilities were better than some compact cameras thanks to the new back-lit CMOS sensor. Despite all this, there were still some major flaws. Here’s a list from a photographer on what the next iPod Touch should have.
Apple would be smart to talk to Panasonic about this feature on their Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7 and therefore Leica V-LUX 20.
In digital zoom, like the one that Apple currently uses, one usually sees lots of jagged lines and lots of detail missing. Somehow or another, the processing in Intelligent Resolution fixes this all. When seeing it, I thought that perhaps it will just add image noise to get the areas more detailed. However, this isn’t what it does at all.
It digitally corrects almost any error that you may find. It’s really quite fascinating and for consumer uses I’ll take it. I’m not too confident yet about it for professional uses as I need to see it in action more and I did see pre-production models.
This will be great for those that would actually like to make prints from their iPod photos. Though I’m confident that such a situation would be rare.
This is also a Panasonic feature that I’ve seen in many other cameras as other companies have realized the potential of the technology.
The Intelligent Zoom feature uses the intelligent resolution feature to give the cameras a bit of a boost in zoom without loosing image quality through digital means. It’s essentially a special type of digital zoom. I’ve seen prints with Intelligent Zoom and for the consumer market, I approve of this feature.
Yes, I never thought I would say that either about digital zoom. It would be a much better implementation on a thin device like an iPod Touch.
The iPhone 4′s camera currently has an F 2.4 lens on it. That is really great because it lets in lots of light for the sensor to soak up. However, the lens could be sharper to make the photos really pop.
Steve Jobs said that the iPhone 4 is almost like an old Leica camera in that it is such a beautiful device. Perhaps approaching the legendary lens/camera maker could prove to be even better for the company?
Leica, in theory, could develop a much faster aperture lens for the iPod Touch with little problems like vignetting. The cost to do this would make Apple drive the price of the device up, but people would surely pay for it.
The current 5MP resolution on the camera is more than adequate enough for most users. There is no need to dump loads of megapixels onto a sensor that small. The file sizes from the iPhone 4 are large enough from a camera phone and are nearly equivalent to that of point-and-shoot cameras.
For what it’s worth, anyone would rather take a very good 5MP resolution photo than a horrid 12MP photo that is plagued with noise and artifacts.
As stated in my review, I really wish that there were more manual control options available for the iPhone’s camera. Hopefully, the iPod Touch will allow for manual controls like shutter speed or aperture.
If these don’t make sense (like aperture because the sensor is so small) then at least better manual focusing as opposed to the tap-to-focus option would be nice. A great example of this is how Micro Four Thirds cameras like the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 and Olympus PEN E-P2 focus when in manual mode—they digitally zoom into the area selected to be focused on and allow the photographer to achieve extremely sharply and accurately focused photos.
This is where Apple could take some pointers from Olympus. Olympus appears to be the king of Art Filters right now. Perhaps talking to them about some of their options like Cross-process or Diorama would help iPod Touch users express their creativity much more.
This is a given. As stated in my review, this was my main peeve with the camera. Apple got the focusing right for the most part—but what is it without image stabilization? There is no image stabilization whatsoever in the iPhone 4. Not even digital! That perplexed me; Apple said how great the camera is. For the most part, they’re right about that for a phone camera but then Apple went and didn’t include something that is so important to taking pictures these days.
Even my T-Mobile G1 (the first Android phone) has image stabilization.
Perhaps they could remedy this with the iPod Touch’s camera?
I can’t think of a photographer in the world that wouldn’t buy this device if it offered native RAW Viewing/Editing Support.
Nuff said on that.
What would you like to see in the new iPod Touch’s camera?

The notebook doesn’t weigh much when compared to other notebooks in its category, we can easily state it’s alternatively light. With long hours of battery life, it will be possible to use this notebook as you want all day every day. We could declare this particular notebook that we are reviewing can be a nominee for best 2010 notebooks. Even though there are actually promising equals, ThinkPad SL500 273849U nevertheless shocks everyone with its stylish style as well as everything else.
I’m positive that everybody will appreciate this notebook because it is outstanding overall aspect. It is rather fascinating to obtain this particular unit considering Lenovo spent loads of new systems on this notebook. The brand new ThinkPad SL500 273849U notebook by Lenovo carries on impress every body with their good design and style, improved performance in addition to amazing flexibility. Since Lenovo announced ThinkPad SL500 273849U people have been looking ahead to this second and it is now here, lastly we can place our hands on brand-new Lenovo ThinkPad notebook.
The touch pad normally is responsive that has not much delay. The touch pad is simply a glossy one along with some assist for multitouch gestures. The touchpad keys are simple to push when using the side of your thumb and emit a tiny click while pushed. They also have shallow feedback in addition to demand average pressure to trigger that may be basically more at ease. The keys of Lenovo ThinkPad SL500 273849U notebook is actually an chiclet-style variant, the keys feel very good on the tips of your fingers. In person I don’t enjoy island-style keyboards, yet I have to say that they look quite brilliant. If you want the appear and feel of the island-style keyboards, you’ll be satisfied while using ThinkPad SL500 273849U.
The cpu placed on Lenovo ThinkPad SL500 273849U notebook is probably the greatest one of cutting edge cpus. With the new top of the line technology applied to this particular cpu you can run multi-tasks with no trouble, obviously with the huge assist of RAM that offers torque to this monster notebook. The graphics processor come with this kind of notebook allows you to work more like lighter video games -I necessarily mean it may not manage the modern games- without having problems. Sound system attached to SL500 273849U notebook seem to be somewhat weak, nevertheless these are recommendable for just a notebook.
We won’t point out the significant pixel density (the quantity of pixels for every centimeter of screen) will make it in particular difficult to work with, they have a perfect resolution for this particular size of screen. It’s a notch above similarly charged notebooks. Moreover greater is the caliber of the actual display alone. Horizontal viewing perspectives are in fact relatively inferior by standard standards, yet these are more than composed regarding by the superior color production and also contrast produced. Excellent details in movies and photos usually are produced out well, a well known fact additionally enhanced with the sharpness of the resolution on the comparatively small-scale screen along with the great blacks.
Heat performance of this Lenovo ThinkPad SL500 273849U is a little less than regular whenever under stress. The device fan, although working under a number of circumstances, seemed to stream fewer air than required to maintain the notebook cool under intense requirements.

What makes Ronaldinho one of the most successful soccer players in world today? Is it his skills with the soccer ball? His uncommon techiniques to impress the fans with the way he dribbles around the soccer field? The fact that he has appeared in many Nike commercials? His good looks? Or the fact that he has won many “World Player of the Year” awards?
The answer is: all of the above, and more. Ronaldinho, or as he is known in Brazil, Ronaldinho Gaucho, has been in the public eye since 1999, but it wasn't until around 2002, when this great Brazilian star “got his break”. Since then, the star of Ronaldinho Gaucho has only been getting bigger and bigger through the years.
Ronaldinho first became famous in Brazil under the name Ronaldinho (little Ronaldo) Gaucho (meaning he is from the Brazilian state Rio Grande do Sul), in order not to be confused with another Brazilian soccer star, Ronaldo (formally known as Ronaldinho in Brazil). However, when Ronaldo moved to Europe, he became well known only as Ronaldo, allowing Ronaldinho Gaucho to drop the “Gaucho” and be well known only as Ronaldinho.
In his adult life, Ronaldinho has been in three major soccer teams including Brazil's Gremio, France's Paris Saint-Germain, and Spain's always great Barcelona.
He is also one of a very few number of players to ever “play at every footballing level, for he has played at under 15, under 17, under 20, under 23, and senior level. He made his first ever appearance for Brazil playing against Scotland on 7 March1995 in an under 15s match, Brazil lost the game 1-0.” en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronaldinho. He was also part of the first Brazilian team to ever win the under 17s championship, which took place in Egypt, 1997.
He then went on to become a part of the under 20s Brazilian team that played on the Fifa World Cup in 1999, and eventually made his first appearance in Brazil's national team that same year in the 1999 Copa America, in which Brazil won.
Since then, Ronaldinho has collected many awards such as “FIFA World Player of the Year” in 2004 and 2005, “World Soccer Player of the Year”, also in 2004 and 2005, “FIFPro World Player of the Year” in 2005 and 2006, “UEFA Clube Footballer of the Year” in 2005 and 2006, and many many others.
Ronaldinho's personality has also helped him become the star he is today. Even with top name awards under his belt, he still remains a very humble, down to earth guy. When asked about his status as the number one soccer player in the world, he simply said: “I don't even feel I'm the best at Barça.” (Barcelona), FourFourTwo magazine.
So there we go, Ronaldinho has clearly made his mark in the world of soccer, and continues to be a great star representing Brazil in a world wide level. What does the future have in store for Ronaldinho? His contract with Barcelona ends in 2010, other than that, all we have to do is simply just keep watching, as this boy from Rio Grande do Sul keeps re-writing soccer history.

Zwei Herzen schlagen in meiner Brust.

If you happen to have a small cardboard box around your house you have a unique way to display photos or even decorate for the holidays. A square cardboard box, with a tuck-in lid, is all you need to get started with the simple but beautiful conversation piece. And, when you're finished with the easy project, you can simply change the look of the photo cube any time you want, in mere seconds!
The cube you use needs to have a lid and it's the perfect box if the lid is attached and will tuck into the box. Box tops that are split down the middle can be taped shut and used for the photo cube, too. If the box doesn't have a lid you can cut a piece of cardboard and tape it in place. A square cube is perfect but the photo cube can also be made from a rectangular box.
Start by purchasing a roll of magnetic sheeting. You'll find it at any craft store. You can also purchase the magnet by the sheet but you'll need to purchase two or three sheets, depending upon their sizes. Cut a piece of the sheeting to fit each side of the cube, including the top and the bottom. If you want, you can put something in the box to weight it, before starting the project.
After you've cut six pieces of magnetic sheeting, to fit the six sides of the cube, you'll then attach the various pictures you want to display to the magnetic squares. Magnetic sheeting has a peel-away adhesive backing which makes it easy to attach the photos. Simply peel the backing and position the photo on the magnet. Trim if necessary.
The first set of six pictures will actually be glued to the box. Glue one picture on each side as well as the top and bottom of the box. After the glue dries your cube is complete. To make it an interchangeable photo cube you'll now make additional magnetic pictures.
You can create particular themes for your cube or you can just cut family photos that you'll use to change the look of the cube at any time. If you want to create themes you'll simply make six new photos for each theme. Cut photos and images from magazines, cloth, posters, product boxes and other sources.
Since the first set of magnetic photos are glued to the box the next set will easily attach to the first set. The magnetic sheeting allows you to simply stick the next photo to it. Display family photos this week, a Halloween theme later, then a Christmas scene during that time of the year. There's no limit to the different themes you can make.
Take things you love, like dolphins or lighthouses, and create a beach theme. Use other pictures to create a theme of your growing child. Select six different photos, which show your child as he or she was growing up, then make a photo cube with that theme. It's easy to make themes for holidays, anniversaries, graduations, or vacations.
Don't continue sticking more and more pictures to the cube. Instead, keep the original photos glued to the cube, then add one new set over those, anytime you wish. The next time you want to change the theme just remove the old set and add the new.
Stick with one form of images for each set. For example, make all the photos in a particular set out of paper or out of cloth. Don't make some of them from product boxes, some from cloth and others from photos. Although you can use the various types to form a collection of sets, the cube doesn't look quite right if you mix them. You can have one set that's all made from fabric images, one set all cut from magazines, and so on.
Set the cube on a shelf, the mantle or a counter top. Display in a window or just set it on the coffee table. The cubes make great gifts and fabulous conversation pieces. They're easy to create and so easy to change - whenever you take the notion. It's an inexpensive way to show off your photos and holiday themes while investing very little money. Get the kids involved - it's a great project for them as well!
We've featured one way to view the Exif data of any photo in your browser, but if you don't have Firefox, free web service FindExif will extract it from any photo URL and put it into an easy to understand format.
Photo within the screenshot by Faisal Saeed.
FindExif is easy to use; you just find the original, non-thumbnailed version of the photo you'd like data on (such as resolution, camera model, exposure, and lots of other details), copy the URL into FindExif and hit the Go button. FindExif will give you a thumbnail of the photo, a ton of data about how it was taken (if available), and even a permalink to that page that you can save instead of having to save the actual table somewhere on your computer. It's a pretty handy tool, whether you forgot some of the details of your own photos or you're browsing the web and would really like to know what camera took a certain picture (or how they got a certain effect). Hit the link to check it out.
Lindsay Lohan’s efforts to get Chanel to hook her up with some decor for her SCRAM ankle bracelet didn’t work. So she decided to cover the thing up altogether with boots. No one would ever know she’s got her SCRAM on if the headlines weren’t screaming it. She probably should have gone that route in the first place. Like Chanel would ever put their prestigious name on a SCRAM device. Seriously.
